Wheelchair Ramps
Moose Creek’s Wheelchair Ramp Installation Specialists
Like most Moose Creek individuals, at J-Mac Renovations we are acutely aware of how lucky we are to be able to walk, run or cycle wherever we choose without having to give it a second thought. Unfortunately this is not a luxury afforded to all Moose Creek inhabitants. The simple act of waking up in the morning and having a shower, something that we often take completely for granted, can be an extremely challenging task for a person who is wheelchair-bound. For years, rudimentary tasks such as leaving your home, taking a bus or doing grocery shopping could also be a hazardous experience due to the inconsistent presence of wheelchair friendly access ramps. Thankfully, for the most part, this is a thing of the past and now the majority of Moose Creek residents are able to live full and active lives without fear of being unable to access a bus, train or even their home safely and securely.
Proud to be Part of Our Community
At J-Mac Renovations, we take our role in the community very seriously. That is why we have been offering wheelchair ramps as standard practice for many years. Our skilled craftsmanship and commitment to carpentry perfection have helped Moose Creek individuals who are wheelchair bound live a more normal life and, to us, that is all that gratification we will ever need. While our commercial service has ensured that surgeries, shops and restaurants all comply with all local wheelchair access legislation.
So, if you or a loved one in your family is wheelchair bound, contact the trusted ramp specialists you can rely on. Depending on the scale of the job our efficient carpentry team can have the job finished in two working days.
Make Sure Your Home is Wheelchair Accessible
Wheelchair ramps bring accessibility to people who are wheelchair bound as well as greatly assisting those who do not require a wheelchair but need a scooter or walker to get by. We design and create both temporary and permanent wooden ramps for use in the home. While temporary ramps are useful if you have an elderly relative visiting periodically, we recommend installing our permanent feature if the wheel-chair bound person resides in your home full-time. Our permanent wooden ramps provide long-term structures to serious problems and if properly maintained they can last up to twenty-five years. As part of our installation process we also include a complimentary six-monthly clean and staining service to ensure that your ramp doesn’t depreciate in value.
Why Do You Use Pressure Treated Wood?
All of our ramps are built outside and most will be primarily used outside as well. As such, it is necessary that the wood used is durable enough to withstand all kinds of weather that we experience here in Moose Creek. That is why we use a wood that has been pressure treated with copper to ensure its durability and long-lasting nature. We also opt for stainless steel screws and fasteners as copper and steel can clash and act as a corrosive element to your ramp – a problem that is exacerbated in wet and cold weather conditions.
